I need to learn about textiles, what is a good book written in easy language that I can buy?
I want to start my own business designing bedding and accessories but I don't know anything about textiles. I need to learn about textiles and so far the books that I have purchased are too technical more so for someone who already knows at least a little about textiles. I know absolutely nothing about textiles.
What is a great book that I can purchase that really breaks things down in easy language that is good for a beginner like me.
Search on Amazon--their software is excellent and there are many choices through which you can sift. Also, there are museums of textiles that might have a search function (google).
also look at required textbooks for Fashion Institute of Technology and Parson's School of Design, both in NYC.
