I have to write a history paper but it has to be written like a news report, what kind of things should I say?
Like how news reports are normally done.
How news reports are done is what they're trying to teach you here. So get a newspaper and read a few stories.
you'll find there's an opening paragraph - and in it, you'll find "who, what, when, and where". So:
"Attorney General Bowers said Tuesday that the dancing at the TopHat Country Bar will not be tolerated after 11 pm".
So - there's a news story - and then subsequent paragraphs have more information. You'll just pick out an event in history - like the Normandy Landing on June 6, 1944 - and pretend you were there.
"General Bowers said Tuesday that the third day of landings on Normandy Beach have gone more smoothly than anticipated."
And then fill in a few more paragraphs about landing tanks and trucks and getting the ships in near shore and enemy resistance. - that sort of thing.
