can anyone help with how i could expand my introduction?

i have a science report to write i am stuck on the introduction i have a guide to a report and it says the introduction should be clearly stating the aims of the work.
at the moment i have clearly written the aim of the experiment, but i just gone Straight to the point when writing it but i think its too short but cant think of anything to expand it.

here is what i have written for the introduction: The aim of the experiment is to see how the different concentration of Gibberellin will affect the growth of the peas.

(like i said its very short but Straight to the point)

any ides of how to expand it without repeating myself in the discussion ?

this is not about the report but my cusion as had a baby what would that make me

what is Gibberellin? is it something natural or is it man made? what does it do?
what is your hypothesis because of the varying levels of Gibberellin? (what do you expect/think will happen?)
