What is needed in a car engineer's report?
My car was written off in category C and since then i have had it re-moted and repaired. My insurance company had suspended my insurance and says that i have to provide them with the new MOT and an independant engineer's report for them to reinstate the insurance.
I was wondering whether anyone could tell me what has to be in this report? Can it just be a paragraph detailing the repairs and that it is roadworthy, or does it have to be a lengthy analysis. I've phoned my local garage and i don't think the engineer knows what is required either.
Has anyone else been in this situation? Can anyone help me?
Thank you in advance
What you need is to get a vehicle inspection report from the AA or the RAC,they both do them,it will cost about £150 so I would ask your insurance company if they are going to pay for this to be done as they should be satisfied with a new MOT certificate for the car !
