The Effect of Using Strength Endurance Exercises on Performance in - Some Technical Gymnastics Skills 4 femal?
i am writing a research for my final exam,so if you have any idea or point please e-mail me back
Well, I don't email on this site, so I'm gonna post here. I just quit gymnastics after 7 years. So basically you want the effect of endurance on gymnasts? Well here's what I have to say:
We used to do endurance all the time (I was a level 8 so optional gymnast). Basically, it was just stuff like running around the floor while we took turns doing routines or mixing running with tumbling or something like that.
Since a floor routine's usually about 1.5 min, we needed to do endurance to build ourselves up to make it through a routine. The more often we did endurance, the easier our routines came. It's so hard to do your third tumbling pass at the end of your routine, especially if you have no endurance. So the more we ran, the better we got at our routines and the easier it was to make it through them (without feeling like dying at the end lol).
I guess endurance also helped on bars. But bars is also a lot of arm strength and abs, so it didn't help as much as on floor.
All of my teammates and I hated doing endurance. But I think that we'd all agree that it was necessary in order to have good floor routines. Without it, we'd suck.
Well, hope this helps!!! Good luck with your exam!
