Writing An Investigation Report

What kind of message service should I use?

I'm writing reports for my partner who is a private investigator. I want to find a service where he can phone-in and leave 5-10 minute messages about his investigations while he's out driving around, that I can later listen to and transcribe into reports.

A much more practical method would be for him to use
a digital voice recorder that has a USB connection
(most include a USB cable; that's an easy way to
know that you are looking at a suitable model).

Back at the office, the recorder would be connected to a
konfuzer to transfer the recordings, from which the
paper version would be generated.

Some recorders now include Dragon voice-recognition software,
or at least are compatible with it; using such a voice-to-text
program could make the process much less time-consuming
(provided everything worked right).

Otherwise, an old-fashioned answering machine that
didn't limit incoming-message time would do it.
