Betta fish help? Please?

Ok, im writing a little report for my parents on how to take care of a betta fish, because i want to get one. Can someone give me a list of every thing we have to do daily, weekly, then yearly? thanks! I already got things for daily. (:

Sure. I had a betta fish and so did my brother and sister. Somehow, my brother's didn't die, though he hardly ever cleans the tank.Now we've moved on to guinea pigs, but I'll be happy to help you! :-)
DAILY
Feed the fish (usually 2 small pieces if you get the round pebble- like food, or a shake or so if you have the sprinkle-on food.) Talk to a person at the pet store, sometimes you only have to do this step every other day.

WEEKLY
Clean the tank. Depending on how your tank is set up, there are different ways to clean it. Our way was to take the fish out and put him in a separate bowl, then take out the fake plants, and pour out the water into the sink. Then we put the gravel into a skimmer in the sink and ran water over it, sometimes putting a little soap on. (If we did, we made sure to wash the soap out, or it could make the fish sick.) Then, we ran a Kleenex around the inside of the tank to get rid of any nasty residue.
Then we put the gravel back in, then the plants, and put room temperature water into the tank. We then used a little bit of BettaSafe, which is a chemical sold at your local pet store that makes tap water safe for bettas.

MONTHLY
Clean the tank, but make sure you give the inside an extra-good scrubbing.
