I am writing a report for my engineering class on the engineering used in the development of firearms. Any information involving this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks In Advance!

Lots of M.E. in firearms:
Strength of lock mechanisms vs pressure.
Flow of cartridge case under pressure.
Weight of breach and spring rates vs force applied
in blow-back autos.
Look up the "Blish effect", principle in the
Thompson gun, (it's really interesting and counter-intuitive.)
