How Writing Articles gets Traffic to your Optin Page
Writing articles is one of the best methods you can use to get traffic to your optin page. It is generally agreed that it is essential to build up a good emailing list if you want be successful online, and an optin page is the best means of achieving that.
To design an optin page you must have a good autoresponder such as AWeber, GetResponse or iContact, and then use that to design an optin form. The construction of the pages needed with an optin form and list, such as confirmation emails and welcome pages, will be provided by the autoresponder but it is important that you have the autoresponder.
A list enables you to maintain contact with website visitors that would otherwise disappear forever, and allow you send them emails containing useful information and also special offers and links to your sales page. Without having a list you will find it difficult to be particularly successful with an online business, and that is why you will find an optin form somewhere on the majority of websites that you visit.
However, it is essential that get traffic to your optin page, or squeeze page as it is often referred to, because otherwise you will have few people to sign up for your newsletter or the offer you make them to register. There are several ways to get that traffic, including PPC advertising such as Google Adwords or press releases, but by far the cheapest and most effective is by writing articles to get traffic to your optin list.
The title of your articles should relate closely to its content. You will gain nothing if you write a title that has very little or even no connection with your article content, since your readers will stop reading as soon as they realize that. You must then make an attempt to write the best content you have ever written because you are attempting to impress your readers enough for them to visit your optin page.
They won't do that if they are not confident in your knowledge of their niche and in your ability to help solve their problems, answer their questions or even teach them about the subject they want to learn more about. In addition, you must be honest and truthful with no BS, or if they find out then you will be finished. Write content that is accurate and informative and from which they can learn something.
Keep your spelling spot on and your grammar good - there is no need to be 100% technically correct with your grammar when writing articles, such as never ending a sentence with a preposition (as I did in the last paragraph which should technically have been phrased 'information they can use or from which they can learn'). People do not speak that way, and you are not writing a grammar coach! However, try to miss the bad errors in grammar and try to write as correctly as you are able to.
Write a summary that will persuade readers to continue reading the whole article and end with a resource or bio box that provides a link to your website. Your link can be anchored to any page you want, but no prizes for guessing the page it should lead to if you are tring to get traffic to your optin page?
No prizes for that or for realizing that having that objective when writing your articles could be the most effective and profitable form of writing that you will ever carry out.
These article can be even more crucial to your success than your sales page, since no visitors to your sales page means no sales and hence no money, and without a good solid list you are likely to have few vists to your sale page. You will never construct a good email list if you don't concentrate on writing articles to attract traffic to your optin page. That says it all really. . .
