book report on the book night by elie wiesel?

Im in 8th grade and im supposed to read the book and write a report about it. I have 4hrs to write the report but I didn't read the book. So im pretty much screwed. I know I should of red it but I couldn't concentrate. Any suggestions? Are there any book report examples on night online? Plz help!

The theme of faith is probably the easiest to do a report on. You can examine Wiesel's faith and how it changed throughout the book.

In the beginning, we see a young Wiesel who devoted his time studying the Talmud and dreamed one day of studying the Cabala. He started off as a boy who had faith and innocence.

Then the Gestapo come and occupy his town. No one believed that the Gestapo could do anything so they just continued to live like normal. The Gestapo called for deportation. Wiesel and his family are deported and are taken to Auschwitz-Bierkenau.

At Auschwitz, Wiesel and the other prisoners worked long hours with very little food.and battled the cold. Every week people would collapse from exhaustion. If they lost the strength to survive, they would be sent to the gas chambers or their body would be thrown into a lorry like a sack of garbage. It seemed as though it was useless to try to survive, to live another day.

Wiesel who once had faith in God, changed his way of believing Him. He questioned his existence and asked Him how could he let this happen. He even went far as to asking himself "Why should I bless His name? The Eternal, Lord of the Universe, the All-Powerful and Terrible, was silent. What had I to thank Him for" (31)? His faith in God started to dwindle but miracuously, he never lost complete faith.
