How can I make this psyc intake interview go smoothly at school?

In my psy class we have to do an intake interview of a classmate that is assigned to us. Honestly, most of us have nvr even spoken to eachother! How can i make the person assigned to me answer such personal questions the teacher has assinged?? Some example questions are how was your childhood...how many dates have you been on...when was your first sexual experience...do you abuse drugs/alcohol...are you suicidal...are you straight/gay....do you have good relationships with your family etc
. We are suppossed to follow the psychological format and then write a report. Again, how do i get the person assinged to me feel comfortable and answer throughly as possible and how can I myself answer them when they interview me? What should I do to make this process go easier??? How can I make them feel relaxed so they can open up to me???

If you don't have to do this in class, you should meet up with the person you have to interview somewhere that is intimate, but not creapy intimate like your bedroom or something! When you meet you need to seem calm and very confident. If you are nervous they will be, too. Honestly you just need to do your best to make the other person feel calm, but if they don't - they'll just lie to you. That's a part of the job really. If you think they are lying you could always write about that in your paper.
When you go to be interviewed just try to stay calm.
