What are some animal related topics that can be used for multiple reports?

I am currently in a technical writing course in college and have been asked to find a topic to use for multiple reports. These reports include a topic memo, description memo, status report, analytical report, and final presentation. I am majoring in pre-veterinary medicine and would like to use an animal related topic that is broad enough to use for each of these projects. The first one we will be working on is the topic memo, so I'm just looking for a good topic now.

I have to write a proposal memo and I don't really understand what topics are available. Can anyone come up with something you think will fit the description?
