Writing A Pyramid Style Project Report:
A report is defined as a document that is subjected to give emphasis on a certain issue that is important to bring in the attention of the people. A project report is an ideal type of academic assignment writing that allows inquiry, investigation, or experiment on the subject of the project.
The ideal structure of project report writing is to place the main and important content or information at the beginning. The pyramid style, which is widely being used in the newspaper, giving attention to the important news at the beginning and further details are shared after it, similar to this a project report is written. The supporting ideas are followed after the subject of the report. Although, its structure is planned but an ideal structure is planned with regard of the content.
I have used it personally, when I was in my business school. The project report becomes really effective when it follows a pyramid style; an individual idea is first stated which is then followed up with summarizing idea. The information which is shared in pyramid style is most likely to be effective 2 times more than the normal writing structure.
Pyramid style should follow the ideas in the following sequence:
• The ideas, or ideas should deliver the summary after introducing them
• If, a group pattern is followed then the ideas should be widely related to each other
• They should follow a logical order, that is they should be placed according to the importance of the events
• The sequence for sharing the ideas in a pyramid style is; the main idea, the minor idea and the outcomes of it which you have detected
Interestingly enough while researching I came to know that it there has being another style, which is called "Pyramid with in a Pyramid", it's of very much interest to know that a project report can be written in this way. There is no such difference, just that the pyramid of ideas, having multiple level of ideas in it, can be placed according to the importance within the pyramid.
