How much do enlists in the army run weekly in basic training?
I am writing a report on why i think my running requirements are excessive and need legit information to support my point.
Thnaks for all the help. :]
You get weighed in and possible have to take a tape test and run one mile the second or third day and they use your run time and your weight and/or body mass composition to determine whether you are ready for basic training. If not, they have a special physical training/weight control battallion for a while (which sucks pretty bad) until you meet the minimum standard for getting into basic. The day after you get to basic they give you a PT test. That is 2 miles. Then they start you out with 2 mile runs, 3 times per week. By the end of basic training you will be doing 4 mile runs, 3 days per week. Doesn't sound excessive to me.
