Almost in all your degree/pg courses ( bca, mca, btech mtech, ms computer science, bit) IT student need presention of seminars as part of acadamics here are Some tips for preparing and presenting a Software seminar or a project report :
- Use Powerpoint presentation while giving a seminar
- use diagrams, examples from industry and everyday life; Try to explain the concept with help of diagram
- Don't write loads of text on your ppt. Focus on the main points
- Generally, each student is given not more that 30 min. so focus on key points explain them clearly, but be sure to explain enough details to understand the topic
- Keep you voice loud & clear
- Try maintain eye contact with audience (students).
Look for feedback by eye contact and gestures from guide and others.
Speak slowly, don't speed up to fit within time.
smile and be confident.
- Use a sharp pointer. Do not use the end of a pen that is blunt and will cast a shadow several inches wide, and your audience will not know where you are pointing.
- Make sure your pointer does not cover up the slide material so as to make it difficult for your audience to read the slide.
- Answer what is asked.
- Don't say "I don't know" in a hurry. Think and try to attempt an answer
