Technical Manual Writing

technical manual writing"technical manual writing"
A little writing advice would be appreciated.?

I am writing a blog dedicated to hiking, camping, and nature photography.

My only writing background is technical type of things such as Naval training manuals.

So, in writing my blog, I just try to make it understandable and informative. I would love to make my writing as compelling as possible so advice on how to improve would be greatly appreciated.

The blog is here: http://www.afreshpath.com

Thanks
Holy crap! I didn't even see those glaring spelling problems. Now, those are corrected. Thanks for pointing them out.

Having done 20 years in the canoe-club, and having read many, and written a few manuals, I am completely convinced that there is a definite need for that style of writing when explaining directions or cautions. You might want to use a bit of spell-check, for instance "395 for nly about " or "a heaft deer ...". Your spelling errors seem to be mainly ommision-typo's, so go back and give it a slow re-read. Your phrase " This is a very rough road! Don’t take the beemer.." could be better done by removing the exclamma and placing a comma after road, and inserting "so" at that point, connecting the phrase into a more-smoothly read whole. In regards the pictures, including some references to exactly where on the trail they were taken would be a good idea, give it in 10ths of a mile from a specified starting point on the trail, (Mention somewhere at the opening of the artilcle that all pictures will be referenced in their distance to specified point) and possibly list which direction the shot is facing.
