Writing assignment for medical terminology class?

I am taking a medical terminology class for my nursing degree. We have a writing assignment and it is due in a month and a half so we have quite a while to work on it. The assignment is to pick a disease or illness of some sort and write a 4-5 page report on it..the symptoms, ,treatments, etc.

I was hoping to get some feedback about some interesting topics that I could write on.

The easiest thing to write about is something that interests you, not some boring topic that you picked from a list or a book. Think of some illness or disease process that you may have come across or someone had and you always wanted to know more about it.
MRSA is a good one, since its in the news and so prevalent right now. Hemophilia, asthma, RSV, gestational diabetes, and pylonephritis are my suggestions.
