This may seem stupid but I don't know what to write?
We have started designing and building a website and we have to write weekly reports:
Your report should be focused
primarily on planning and the operation of your group. Space should not be wasted in
providing detailed technical information – your manager needs to know how you are
progressing and that you will meet the deadline.
What does it mean "planning" and "operation of the group"? please.
It's got to be in by today, midnight!
I think this means that you should write about what your plans are and who's doing what in the group.
For example "Our goal is to have the website in beta by xx/xx/xx and in full operational mode by xx/xx/xx. We will achieve this by simultaneously working on design, content and functionality."
And, re: "operations" -- Joe White has been selected as project leader; so-and-so is overseeing design, so-and-so is responsible for technical operations/actually building the site, and so-and-so is preparing all of the content for the site. We have a committee that will name and brand the site and will work on the functionality and navigation of it so that our eventual users will find our site helpful. We meet every other day to monitor progress and vet problems, to keep the project on track for the stated deadlines. We also started a site-related blog that allows us to continually post questions and updates.
I really have no idea, but I'm thinking something like that might be what's expected.
