medical occupations?
I am in a competition against student from everywhere in the united states to write reports on three medical occupations, i was thinking that most likely everyone will be doing common stuff like dentists and medical doctors but i was thinking if i did something different it would stand out like if i did cardiologist or something, what are some medical occupations that i could use?
Here are some interesting medical jobs that I bet others aren't going to write about. A pathologist, oncologist, and anestheologist. Listed below are the descriptions of the jobs.
A pathologist is a physician who specializes in diagnosing diseases by examining tissue, blood, and body fluids using sophisticated laboratory techniques. Most training programs for pathology include 4 years of medical school followed by 5-6 years of residency and fellowship training.
An anesthesiologist (American English), or anaesthetist (British English), is a medical doctor trained to administer anesthesia. In the U.S., an anesthetist is usually a nurse or technician trained to administer anaesthesia (See nurse anesthetist). In the U.S. there are legal definitions as well: A physician who has completed a residency in anesthesia is refered to as an Anesthesiologist, while a physician who has been trained in anesthesia, but not completed a residency in anesthesia, is refered to as an Anesthetist.
Oncologists are physicians who study, diagnose, and treat cancerous tumors. They practice in hospitals and medical centers, university hospitals, and research organizations.
