How to write a show report?
Im on a ND Performing Arts course, and have just done our solo shows, i had to be DSM for my friend and just found out we have to do a show report =S What should this include, is there a website i can find an example one etc?
Let's see what I can remember from stage management...
Title of show, date, director, your name.
you need the time the show went up, the time it came down, and the times of the beginning and end of the interval.
Anything that went wrong, and when, if there are more performances to come, who needs to fix it.
Number of people in the audience
I had to put down the temperature and things like whether or not there was a big football match on which would affect the number of people who would come to see the show, but I don't know if that's relevant for you.
I'm sorry to say it's all stuff that you should(and of course I don't know that you didn't) write down as the show goes along. Just a thought, though - if you didn't write down the start and end times and only remember roughly, make it so it's not a nice round number. Starting at 7:02 pm is more believable than 7:00pm.
