Lab Report Purpose and Hypothesis Help?

My science fair topic is : will soccer sweat spots ( http://www.soccerplanetstore.com/20swe00… ) direct the ball better than a cleat without them?

I have to write a lab report and the first 2 things I need to write is my purpose and hypothesis. My teacher said we need to start of with the purpose. She said state the reasoning (purpose) of your experiment and What are you trying to Test?

Then I need to state the Hypothesis ( which really confusing me! ) She said Develop your prediction by developing a hypothesis. (I under stand this step, I think Sweat spots will not direct the ball any differently) But she wants us to state it in if-then form. For example she said, If we do this, then this will occur as a result.

I would really appreciate it if you would help me understand this!

Your teacher wants you to write the hypothesis like this: If there are sweat spots on a cleat, then they will not direct the ball any differently than a regular cleat.
It's basically, If this happens, Then this will happen.
Hope this helps.
