Method Of Report Writing

What do you write in 'discussion' in a science report?

I'm writing a science report (aim, results, methods, equipment, discussion [no hypothesis needed]) and I'm totally at a loss for what to write in the discussion column! Please help and give me a guideline of what to say in this section! The report's about what happens when certain chemicals react with others. Thanks!

The discussion is your opportunity to actually talk about and described what happened in your experiment. In the "Results" section, you're usually just presenting the data - the "Discussion" is where you actually discuss it!

And, for example, I'm writing a lab report right now for an experiment I did. After synthesizing a product, I performed an final IR spectrum. In the discussion I'm talking about what the IR spectrum showed, what a perfect spectrum looks like, how mine differs, what that means, how I screwed it up to make it look the way it did... And so on!
