Example Technical Writing

What are some ethical issues that Science professionals face in creating technical documents?

I need to write a report about the ethical issues that professionals face when creating technical topics. (in the field of science - biology in particular)

I'm looking for suggestions from those who work in this field, or anyone who knows what kind of issues arise.

For example: plagiarism, being honest about research, etc.

Those are the two big ones, plagiarism and not being honest. A lot of times it is subtle dishonesty, things like making pictures more clear, but really highlighting the results part, to make it look like what we want. Rounding numbers and estimating to make it look like we want it to.

For instance a global warming graph showing only the last 20,000 years looks catastrophic, but one showing the last million years shows this to be part of a normal cycle.

We also only show the data that supports our results. We don't show the other 90% of data that refutes it.
