Law Enforcement Help/Question?
Hello, I got into a little fender bender it has been 4 years ago and they are trying to sue for which like i said its been going on for about 4 years now. I got a letter in the mail saying that i did not show up for a civil court hearing. But, I never recieved a summons in the mail to show up I did not get one piece of paper telling me when the court date was because I would of definitly been there if i did. Because it was her fault and not mine. The police came and no kind of report was filed or anything. Anyways, what i am getting at is can you show me a good way to write a letter to the judge. I am writing a letter to tell him that i never recieved anything saying to appear in court and asking him not to give the other party a winning judgement because i did not know to show up in court. How should i start this letter off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!
I think the best way to start your letter is to pick up the phone, dial the court, and talk to somebody rather than writing a note.
