Huge technical report - tips to overcome writers block??

HELP! I have got to compile a massive 50+ page technical report by this weekend (terribly boring!). I have got all data, figures and topics ready, but they are swimming inside my head and I just can't pen them down on paper in an organized fashion.
Whenever I start to type, after a few pages, it seems wrong and disorganized to me (I am bit of a perfectionist), and I just can't proceed further. I end up writing nothing substantial. It's a weird mental block, which doesn't go away.

(It's similar to a frustrated poet/author starting to write something, not liking it, and crumpling the page and throwing it away..and repeating this process again and again)

Any tips to help overcome that 'block', so that I can pen down my report in a quick, smooth, organized manner?

P.S.- I have other job-related work during the day (really tight schedule), hence I can concentrate and start writing only in the night, for a few hours. (I don't mind sleeping a bit less if needed)

Two approaches...

1. Start with chapter / section headings to get scope, make sure you're happy with that and then put in bullet points under each one and then expand from there.

2. Use a Mind Map approach (maybe you can google to get details) to organise thoughts and relate topics / ideas. Then use those in approach 1.

what are the national economic benefits of electrical engineering?

i need a short list of that for a technical report i'm supposed to write. i surfed the web for hours, but i couldn't come up with anything significant. also, does anyone have tips on how to make my report better? i need ur answers as soon as possible. thanx

What kind of information are you looking for? Without the electric power grid, you would be abole to turn on your computer (the electronis in your computer would not exist either, and there would be no telephone lines for the Internet). None of the machines in any of the factories would work, either, so no manufactured goods.
