Writing A Chemistry Lab Report

writing a chemistry lab report"writing a chemistry lab report"
I need help on this Chemistry lab report Immediately please !?

I have to write a hypothesis on this question:

Is distance directly proportional to time or time squared ?

I have no idea what any of that even means !?!!

But for hypothesis I need to have details not just a sentance I did lab and here are the procedures if it helps :

2. Set ramp at an angle of 10 degrees.
3. Measure from the bottom of the ramp and make a small pencil mark every 10 cm (to 180 cm).
4. Place the ball at the 10 cm mark. Time the ball to the base of the ramp. Record time.
5. Repeat for four more trials (five total).
6. Go to the next mark and repeat steps 1-6 until all distances are measured.
7. Calculate the average time for each distance.
8. Calculate the time squared.
9. Graph distance (x) vs time (y)
10. Graph distance (x) vs time squared (y)

from the newtonian equations of motion...(see the link in the source)

d = Vot + ½ at²

if Vo = 0 (ie if the ball starts from rest)

d = ½ at²

and d is directly proportional to t²

if you plot distance vs t , you will get a curve
if you plot distance vs t², you will get a line with a slope = a/2

that a/2 is the acceleration due to gravity adjusted for the slope of the incline..= 9.8 m/s² x cos (10)

I want you to stay the night.
