I need help writing students report cards. Any suggestions?

Apart from.
Shows/doesn't show interest in class.
Too social/not too social.
Pleasure to have in class.
Delightful student that.....
We/I expect her/him to improve in the following subjects...
Anything else?

How about this...Parents can be most effective at helping "Jane" improve by ________ (reading to her every night, working on multiplication tables, monitor home television usage, etc.).

I would like to see something specific that I can do on my children's report card.
