Writing Management Reports

I was sexually harrassed by my manager and fired when I reported it. What would you do?

I worked for Thorntons Oil company for a year. A customer told my co workers that I am gay. I was in the management program at the time. Another management candidate at our store was given priority and trained by our GM for the position while I was excluded and offered no training support. The other trainee was promoted to GM within months while the company apologized for failing me in my training efforts in writing, yet refused to promote me. I have 10 years experience as opposed to this guy who I trained and who had no previous experience. He became my GM and started sexually harrassing me in front of co workers. I reported him for calling me sexy and snapping on a rubber glove and implying he wanted sex with me. A week later I was fired when I requested the company to respond to my complaint in writing. I reported it to the IL dept of human rights and filed charges. What should I do next?

When you reported it you have done all you can Legally. The next step would be to contact some news media and report it to them. Companies hate negative publicity. Tell it like it is and keep telling it. You may also look up organizations that assist people in your position.
