What do I need to do to support myself with writing?
I am a registered nurse also have a bachelor's in political science/pre-med. I am interested in making a transition into writing for a living but need to earn at least $40,000 per year and would like to work from home.
I have taken a creative writing course through the state university, taken some useless online writing courses through the community college (Ed2Go is crap). and am now looking into a technical writing certificate.
What constructive advice can you offer a novice - wannabe?
Choose subjects that you feel comfortable to write about, issues that you may see people has interest in reading, and you easily can afford to write and survey.
